Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 1969

General description : Looking for a cool piece of Americana that'll turn heads anywhere it goes? If you're in the market for some vintage metal that's stylish, powerful and has lots of history, who says you have to buy a stuffy, high maintenance trailer queen? Just pick up the phone, call your friends at RK Motors and we'll hook you up with a great car like this awesome Chevelle! Combining 396 cubic inches of hot Chevy big block with a tough 4-speed drivetrain and sinister black aesthetics, this gruff ground-pounder draws big crowds and big compliments. And if you're one of the many enthusiasts looking for a fun classic that's unrelentingly cool, it's your ticket to car guy nirvana!
GLOSS AND GLARES
The beneficiary of a detailed restoration that wraps solid sheetmetal in slick Tuxedo Black two-stage and trick Carbon Flash Super Sport striping, this razor-sharp resto-mod runs well and shows great! At the front of its gloss, a famous Super Sport grille centers a legendary 'SS396' emblem between shielded headlights and a guarded bumper that's finished with crisp, SS-spec parking lamps. Behind that grille, a Chevelle-branded header leads a chrome-trimmed Super Sport hood, which creeps toward a tinted greenhouse that's caged in polished stainless. At the sides of that hood, a muscular profile centers traditional door handles, traditional mirrors and bright door guards between predictable emblems, ornate markers and snazzy rocker guards that were retrofitted from a first-generation Chevelle. And at the back of that form, SS-spec taillights illuminate a second guarded bumper that traces a monochromatic Super Sport valance.
BIG BLOCK BLISS
Few cars fit the 'muscle car' description better than a Chevelle. Clocking in at exactly 396 cubic inches, this coupe's rowdy Chevrolet big block twists hearty horsepower into miles of tire torching torque! At the top of that legendary mill, a trick spinner secures a polished and decaled air cleaner, which wraps a reusable filter element around a bright Edelbrock carburetor. That electronically choked carb, fed by a polished Edelbrock filter and a bright Holley pump, caps an Edelbrock Performer 2-0 Endurashine intake. That intake centers a polished thermostat housing between tough, cast iron heads. Those heads tilt polished and decaled valve covers over coated Sanderson tubes and loomed Taylor wires. Those Spiro Pro cables milk an MSD Pro-Billet distributor and a chromed Pertronix Flame-Thrower coil. Billet pulleys spin a polished Tuff Stuff water pump between a polished alternator and polished power steering components. Big SPAL puller fans back a fully dressed radiator. And the car's clean, Satin Black engine bay is dotted with choice detailing like braided lines, corrugated hoses, trick brackets, a polished brake booster and a polished master cylinder.
BUILT TO CRUISE
Bottom-side, the monster mill kicks a tough Muncie 4-speed, which twists a dressed 12-bolt axle. That proven drivetrain rides a rare-for-1969 F41 Sport Suspension, which aligns boxed control arms and a rear sway bar with a fully independent front-clip. Turns come courtesy of traditional power steering. Stops are provided by power-assisted discs and power-assisted drums. Large-diameter pipes breathe through stainless MagnaFlow mufflers. And at the corners of the car, chromed American Racing Torq Thrust Ds spin 255/45ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As in front of 255/50ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As.
SAME STYLE, NEW FUN
This coupe's thorough restoration included the installation of a crisp factory interior that's highly functional and reliably timeless! Broad bench seats face a handsome, monochromatic dash that's fitted with SS396-spec Deluxe Instrumentation. Tidy carpet looks great under a familiar Hurst shifter. Fade-free side panels parallel a fade-free headliner. And the driver spins a bowtie-branded Billet Specialties Street Lite wheel around a tilting column.
Simply put, this big block Chevelle is some of the coolest metal on the planet! Not only is this Chevy a solid cruiser that's ready to rock and roll, it's also a razor-sharp classic that's ready to draw a crowd anywhere it parks. Call your friends at http://www.RKMotors.com to schedule some seat time!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
