Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle. Painted in a gloss Red with black vinyl interior and a Black cloth power top, you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer color combination. Further complimenting the look is a set of 15" American Racing rally-style wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial tires. Powering this cool convertible is a Holley Sniper EFI converted 307 Cubic Inch V8 engine and just behind the engine is a 700R4 Automatic transmission. The 307 has had a full roller rocker conversion, with a nice Cam inside, making more power than stock while sounding great! Sending the power to the rear wheels is a 10 bolt rear end.

The current owner has enjoyed this vehicle for the last 2 years and didn't hesitate to replace any items needing attention under his ownership. Some serious time and money into newer items on this drop-top Chevelle giving it a refreshed ride quality for years to come. With added stopping power, slowing this convertible down will be a breeze as the owner replaced each corner, opting for power disc brakes. Handling is controlled with newly replaced upper and lower "A" arms, front and rear shocks, lowering springs, ball joints and bushings to provide comfort on the road trips ahead. Inside is a very clean Black bench vinyl seat with black rear seats, paired with a black carpet. Facing you on the dash is a newly swapped Dakota digital gauge cluster to showcase your readouts in a modern fashion. This example Chevelle is a high-driver quality ride that shows complete with nice trim work and chrome bumpers. Other items replaced for what the owner mentions includes: New master cylinder, 120 Amp alternator, electric fan, new starter and wiring harness. Equipment for this Chevelle includes: Power steering, Power brakes, Power top, AM/FM radio, seatbelts and tilt steering wheel.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
