Track-Ready 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Coupe New to our Fairfield showroom is this race-ready 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Super Sport 2 Door Coupe with orange exterior paint and a black vinyl interior. It features a 545 CI V-8 engine with a Dart block/heads, 10:1 compression, Jesel rockers/cam belt, and a competition solid roller cam. It is attached to a Powerglide 176 racing transmission with a trans. brake, a 4000 stall converter, a 9’ fabricated rear end, 410 gears and too many more upgrades to list. While this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS is currently licensed in California, the current configuration has a plexiglass windshield, no wipers, plus racing headers and a racing exhaust. For that reason, it will not be eligible to drive on CA roadways and would have to be trailered to races and shows. Please check with your local DMV for additional details. Fully NHRA Certified for 8.50 Class Race Cars This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Super Sport was built by Len Schneider Performance in Grass Valley, California to compete in NHRA events (8.50 class). The port work was completed by Wes King and Bill Wood built this gorgeous monster engine, all of which are extremely reputable names within this industry. The engine was also just completed within the last few months so it has all new rings, bearings, pistons, pushrods, APR bolts, etc. It runs like a true beast on the track as well and it is 100% ready for competition. Additionally, this ’65 Malibu is an all-steel built (except for the hood and rear fenders) and it has been completely restored/finished for local shows. This beauty has very nice paint, exceptional chrome work, and an excellent overall appearance across the exterior. The interior, however, has been stripped and re-fitted with a full roll cage, a removable steering wheel and other essentials to make it NHRA compliant. As we mentioned earlier, it can be technically driven on the streets today due to its current registration, but this is certainly a track vehicle all the way. Ready for the Checkered Flag Today Overall, this 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Super Sport is an amazing performance classic that delivers an awe-inspiring track setup for the racer in you. The current build costs far exceed the current asking price as well, so this is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to step up in class or get into the racing circuits. It definitely won’t last long though; not at this price. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
