Chevrolet Chevelle 327 V8 1968

General description : 327 V8, AUTO, PS, PB, BEAUTIFUL PAINT, SUPER CLEAN, GREAT AFFORDABLE CHEVELLE!!

What does it take to make a cool cruising vintage machine. Great paint?...Check. A powerful and well-maintained V8?...Check. Pristine interior?...Check. Plenty of chrome?...Check. An affordable price?...Check. So now that you know this 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu checks all the right boxes, you might want to stop asking questions and get ready for an outstanding deal.
This coupe wears its aggressive hue nicely. The 1968-correct Matador Red looks fantastic rolling off the classic hardtop design lines. Of course super straight panels and a serious investment in a modern and professional paint application is an easy (but expensive) recipe for grabbing attention. The Super Sport dual power bulging hood is a nice aggressive touch, but overall this one is not trying to be an SS clone. So it proudly wears the brighter grille and fender/rocker accents of the upscale Chevelle Malibu trim. Plus, the 15-inch Rally wheels are something everyone loves on these vintage coupes.
The original interior was changed over to black. Not only does that mean it coordinates much better with the exterior red, but also everything inside is far fresher than the day it left the Freemont factory. The seats, carpets, door panels, steering wheel, and dash all have a deep dark appearance with some nice trim to brighten up the whole layout. This has room to seat six comfortably, and so you get some great features for keeping the miles worry-free such as the trio of auxiliary gauges and an AM/FM/cassette stereo with digital tuner to be easier to adapt to modern music players. There's even provisions for air conditioning.
Under the hood is a 327 cubic-inch V8 that looks highly original with its factory air grabber and Chevy orange radiating from the engine bay. Even the consignor believes this is the original block. But look a little closer to discover the right upgrades and maintenance. For example, the brake components and alternator appear new, and those painted valve coves are actually Edelbrock units. This block has even been decked for maximum performance. Power isn't just the theme of the engine, it's also what makes for a pleasant drivetrain. This includes features like power steering, power brakes, and a Powerglide automatic transmission to make cruising a breeze.
Sharp coupes with great performance are always popular, but this one has an honest look and for those of you who appreciate substance and style, this Chevelle is a home run. Call today!!!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
