Chevrolet Corvair 164ci Spider turbo 6cyl 1965

General description : CRUISIN CLASSICS is lucky to have in our showroom a 1965 Chevrolet Corsa Turbo Coupe. This is one of, if not the finest most well optioned Turbo Coupes in the country.When the latest owner purchased this car in 2004, it was a solid Georgia car and only 25,501 original miles logged but it was not "show quality". In 2005-2006 it went through a total restoration. Starting with extensive mechanical work at Larry Claypool's Vair Shop in Frankfort, Illinois. Then back to Ohio to Murphy's Classic Car Restorations in Dover for a complete, done right, restoration finished off in the original, correct code Ermine White. Then back to Unlimited Upholstery in Mansfield, Ohio for a complete new Clarks interior and headliner, all in original black.Just a little over 2500 miles have been put on this car since restoration. It has always been garaged and covered.The most notable options are of course the L87 turbo engine, 4-speed transmission, telescoping wood wheel, fold down rear seat, the rare U69/U79 AM/FM Multiplex push button stereo radio with the required 4 speakers, 2 rear speakers (with correct covers) on the rear shelf area as well as 2 under front dash and tinted glass all around. Another performance and cosmetic boosting addition we added to the exhaust system are Jet Hot Ceramic Coating from the manifold all the way up to the Turbo.The car has a lot more attitude and handling with the addition of the new 15" Cragar Wheels with new BF Goodrich G Sport 195-55-15 tires mounted on the front and 215-50-15s on the rear. The outside diameter of the tires and wheels on the car now match the diameter of the stock 13" tires and wheels. In addition, the four original 13" wheels and new narrow white wall tires AND Corsa wire spinner hubcaps go with the car.
