Breathtaking 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Convertible
New to our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 2 Door Convertible with bright red exterior paint, white accents and a matching red/white vinyl interior.  You’ll find the factory 145 cid six-cylinder engine under the hood with the correct four speed manual transmission, which combined produced 84 horsepower and 130 ft. / lbs. of torque.  According to the current owner, this amazing classic has a mere 98,000 lifetime miles on the odometer and it is one of the nicest survivors that you’ll ever find.

Beautifully Running Flat Six Engine & 4-Speed Transmission Equipped
The current owner of this 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Convertible purchased it in 1990 from the original owner.  This beauty was originally sold in Fairfield, California and we believe that it’s been in the Bay Area its entire lifetime, with almost nothing changing over the past 55+ years.  It did receive new paint in 1991 and the factory motor was rebuilt in 1992, and it’s only been driven about 5,000 total miles over the past 25 years.  This one has clearly withstood the tests of time and passed with flying colors.
In terms of condition, this 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 2 Convertible shows typical signs of wear for a survivor of this age- the body has some minor scratches and dings with a few imperfections in the paint and the factory chrome.  The interior is also ultra clean with minimal signs of aging; the top is in very nice condition as is the dash, the seating and the instrument panels.  This one really doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed right away.

Priced to Find a New Home Right Away
Overall, this highly original 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 Convertible is a beautiful classic that’s being sacrificed at a rock-bottom asking price to encourage a quick sale.  While this may not be the most collectible of models when compared to some of the other models of the early 1960’s, you simply will not find a cleaner, more original classic anywhere at the current asking price.  It would make a phenomenal first classic for an aspiring collector or simply a solid addition to any larger collection.  For more information about this impressive vehicle, visit our Fairfield, California showroom, give us a call at 707-419-8200, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # F13245 as well.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
