Beautiful 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible with Evening Orchid exterior paint, a white convertible top and a matching white vinyl interior. You’ll find a factory true 2.7L six cylinder engine under the hood with a 4-speed manual transmission. This amazing example is gorgeous in person, and offers very nice performance- you must come by to see it since this is one of those classics where the photos and description do not do it enough justice.
Restored & Enjoyed by the Same Family Since the early 1980's
This 1965 Chevy Corvair Monza Convertible was purchased back in the early 1980's by a father-son duo that restored this highly original classic over several years. They inform us that the drivetrain was swapped at the time from automatic transmission to the present 4-speed manual setup. Recently, the heads were rebuilt to raise the factory power from 95 horsepower to 110.  With new tires and decades of excellent maintenance, this desirable classic drives perhaps better than new, and in great condition throughout.
Additionally, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible looks excellent in person with very good exterior paint, chrome, and trim, with the soft top being in good shape as well. You’ll be equally impressed by the interior that still has vinyl from the factory- there is one small tear and a little fading to the factory carpeting but otherwise, this is one of the cleanest original classics we’ve seen in quite some time. As we said earlier, it must be seen in person to truly appreciate because it’s simply beautiful.
An Incredible Value at the Current Asking Price
Overall, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible is a beautiful, well maintained classic convertible with great curb appeal and even better performance.  If you’ve been searching for a highly original example that’s withstood the tests of time, then you absolutely must come see this gorgeous classic in person before it finds another home.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Pleasanton, California showroom, give us a call at 925-484-2262, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # P10587 as well.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
