Absolutely Beautiful 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Fastback
The next amazing vehicle up for grabs in our Benicia showroom is this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray 2 Door Fastback Coupe with Laguna Blue exterior paint and a black vinyl interior by Al Knoch. You’ll find the factory L-79 350 HP 327 cid V-8 engine under the hood along with the numbers-matching four speed manual transmission, along with power 4-wheel disc brakes, the stock AM/FM radio was sent out and converted to a modern 35W 4 channel electronic AM/FM radio, premium bolt on Knock off wheels,and Diamondback Red Line tires, a 3.73 rear end and more. This iconic classic sports car is in fantastic condition as well coming off a complete frame-on restoration last year. Only 2051 Corvettes were produced in 1966 in Laguna Blue and it was a one-year only color, making this particular example exceedingly rare.
Full Frame-On Restoration Completed in 2016
You’ll be pleased to know that this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray still has every single factory part installed or included in this sale from the current owner, which means that it borders on 100% original. During the 2016 restoration, this one was stripped down to bare Fibreglass and rebuilt with precision by Brian Moore Restorations. He informs us that the block matches up to the VIN and everything is date code correct throughout. It even has the factory owner’s manual.
So what was upgraded during the restoration? This 1966 Chevy Corvette Stingray did receive a brand new Al knoch interior, Teak steering wheel, show quality paint, and a few OEM parts as needed (all original parts are included). This original BLACK PLATE CAR has been with four lifetime owners, all in California, and it is obvious that this one has received exceptional TLC throughout its lifetime. It currently drives like a brand new classic and shows almost no signs of wear at all- it’s been driven a total of 15,105 miles since the complete restoration.
