Assembled in Bowling Green, Kentucky, MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this low mileage final-C4-year 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for sale, finished in the rare €œDark Purple Metallic€ color! We are selling this for our own office manager.
The exterior of this Corvette is finished in its original hard to find Dark Purple Metallic paint (one of only 320 produced in 1996) with a beige soft top, and is in excellent condition, with only minor imperfections noticed upon closer inspection. Standard options include: power heated mirrors, glass rear window with defroster, and halogen headlights and fog lights. The wheels are American Racing, 5 spoke design with newer 275/40ZR17 Riken tires all the way around.
Inside, it is just as nice as the outside. It features a light beige leather interior, as well as the $1,333 preferred equipment package, which includes: a Delco/Bose sound system and a six-way power driver’s seat, in which the seats, dash, and carpet are in fantastic condition as well.
The standard engine for the later C4 Corvettes is the 5.7L €œLT1€ V8, which for 1996 made 300HP and 335 lb-ft of torque. Behind that is an electronically-controlled 4 speed automatic transmission.
The C4 Corvette was first introduced for the 1984 model year and was produced, with a few facelifts, until the 1996 model year. By the end of its run, Chevrolet had worked just about all of its kinks out and had a truly sorted sports car, with its 300+ HP V8 and optional 6 speed manual transmission.
This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 45,150 miles, which the documentation and Carfax supports. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, actual mileage title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
