General description : 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for sale in our Louisville Ky Showroom. This Corvette Stingray is a Rally Red with a black vinyl Interior. This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette comes with a 327 cubic inch engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. This Corvette Convertible has black Soft folding top. The hard top is available, but owner did not bring it to the showroom. For the new body style in 1968, the concealed headlights move into position via a vacuum operated system rather than electrically as on the previous generation, and the new hide-away windshield wipers utilize a vacuum door. The door handles are flush with the top of the doors with a separate release button. "Sting Ray" nameplates were absent on the new 1968 body, but Chevrolet still advertised the car as a Sting Ray. Front fenders have functional engine cooling vents. In the cabin, a large round Speedometer and a matching Tachometer are positioned in front of the driver. Auxiliary gauges are clustered above the forward end of the console and include Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Ammeter, Fuel Gauge, and an Analog Clock.
