LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 427/435HP.
The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP L71 Sting Ray would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design. Interior alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved from beneath the dash to between the seats. The 427/435hp came standard from the factory with the Holley triple two-barrel carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order form.
As per the NCRS Shipping Data Report, the car was sold new at Doc Stewart Chevrolet Buick in Clovis, New Mexico. Factory painted in the attractive code 988 Marlboro Maroon complemented by a Black interior, the car offered here is a truly exciting example of the Corvette. It is powered by the numbers matching L71 427/435 V-8 engine backed by the numbers matching M21 4 speed manual transmission. Also, making this car quite special is the optional side exit exhaust. The impeccable attention to detail continues to the interior, which is completed in black and features a clock, AM/FM radio, wood steering wheel, and bucket seats with rare optional headrests.
The car was frame off restored to the highest standard while maintaining as much originality as possible. During this process, many of the original factory parts were retained and refurbished. Due to the high standard of restoration quality, the Corvette has achieved the prestigious Bloomington Gold Certification. The car today remains in outstanding condition, having covered fewer than 300 miles total following its restoration.
This beautiful award-winning Corvette comes fully documented with restoration receipts, documented ownership history, restoration pictures, the NCRS Shipping Data Report, Bloomington Gold Certificate and the tank sticker. With numbers matching drivetrain, Bloomington Gold certification, and original documentation, this L71 Coupe is the perfect investment grade Corvette.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
