Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray! In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 corvette for the 1968 model year. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 14 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. Here we have a 1971 model. A can't help but smile when you approach this car. This corvette was repainted in 2018 to factory color in beautiful Bridgehampton Blue and the chrome bumpers really set it off. T-tops are body color matching. The Rally Wheels with recent Mickey Thompson tires give it the stance it deserves! Under the hood you'll find the original factory number's matching 350ci V8. 7 digits matched from the engine pad to the vin. Power is ran down through a 4-speed manual transmission. Current owner has had her for over 5 years, acquired from a private owner. During his ownership he has added new tires and shocks, new clutch, new intake and carb, new radiator and alternator, and lastly new distributor, plug wires and headers! The title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! The chrome bumper era of the C3 vette only last 5 production years between 68-72. These cars specifically in this era are growing quickly in popularity. Don't miss your chance to own an iconic car and one that will set you apart from the crowd! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
