Description : C3 Corvette fans! Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to present this far-out 1970 Corvette Stingray Roadster, complete with removable hardtop. 1970 was the very last year for the high-compression C-3's. After that, performance dropped considerably through 1982. 1970 is only the third year for the fresh C3 design. The C3 Corvettes were a big, welcome departure from the pre-1963 harsher-riding chassis, and feature independent suspension instead of the old solid axle design- which enhances handling and road manners considerably.

Body lines are bold on the 1968-1982 Corvettes. They are unmistakable and classic, yet are relatively affordable compared to older Corvettes. This car sports a nice light blue exterior & black soft top, along with a vinyl wrapped removable hard top. These chrome bumper Corvettes are highly desirable, as they are faithful to the original intent of the 1968 model. By 1974, chrome bumpers were gone forever. Those front fender vents should actually be body color with chrome edges...a fun & easy project for its new owner to take on and correct. The Chevrolet rallys with raise white letter radial tires brings it all together.

The engine bay is still presentable and mostly correct. The block VIN matches the car VIN, and the factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes enhance the drivability and desirability of this Stingray. This is the base 350/300 horse, 380 ft. lb of torque small-block 350 V8. It fires right up and runs strong, and it's tied to a turbo-hydramatic automatic transmission for effortless cruising. All said, stomping on this puppy will put a smile on your face and propel you back to a time when gas was cheap and cool cars like this were the envy of everyone. Corvettes were not cheap back then, usually reserved for the well healed, and kids across America could only dream of owning one. Well, here ya go. Now is your chance.

The owner has provided recent receipts totaling several thousand dollars of work for mechanical maintenance and repairs, helping assure this beautiful Corvette is as trouble free as possible. Good C3s like this do not last long around here. Contact us today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
