Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet Corvette w/T-Tops! In 1967 Chevrolet made a major overhaul to the Corvette brand when they unveiled the all new C3 corvette for the 1968 model year. The Mako Shark II design for the car was conceived by Larry Shinoda. The C3 corvette was produced all the way until 1982. For those 14 years Chevrolet would make many changes, many of which were suggestions from their customer base. This model is a '72 and wow what a car! 1972 was the last year for the true chrome bumper era of the c3s and are highly collectible! The Briar Blue paint looks terrific and has a mirror like shine to it. As you would expect from a very recent restoration. The t-tops looks great and come out with ease and the chrome is very nice and bright. The rally wheels wrapped in Firestone Wide Oval Radial Tires really sets the stance off for this Corvette. Inside you'll find black vinyl seats that are new. Everything looks right and tight. Per the owner, under the hood is the original and rebuilt "L" code 5.7L LT1 350ci V8 with power running down through a 4-speed M21 manual transmission which really makes this car a blast to drive! She is even rocking MSD ignition and a 3.70 gear ratio per the owner. The car runs, drives, and shifts out very well. Per the owner it only has 400 miles since the rebuild of the drivetrain and stated to have been done in 2018. Current owner has had the car for 13 years, acquired from a private owner and believed to be a 3-owner car. Customer has receipts from the build and some photos of the restoration process available upon request. The owner has documentation on former owners and a copy of the original Corvette Order Copy. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! C3 Corvettes are a dime a dozen but the true chrome bumper era cars don't come around too often and when they do they don't last long. Don't wait for this beauty to run away and call us today! Options on this Corvette include: A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, T-Tops, Tilt Wheel, AM/FM Radio, Rally Wheels, and Radial Tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
