Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe! Heading into the mid-60s Chevy was on a hot streak! Corvette had been performing well, both on the track and on paper. Recently off the successful and well received C1 design the C2 debuted in 1963 and the world was ready. The launch of the C2 Sting Ray captivated America and nearly everybody was itching to get behind the wheel of what would become one of the most loved generations of the long running Corvette line! Especially considering the C2 era only spanned from 1963-67. Speaking of getting behind the wheel, now over 50 years removed you have the same opportunity. This model is a '65 coupe and has a very nice build. The white paint has a nice sheen and is in above average driver quality condition. Inside the two-tone white and black sets the tone very well and is in good order. Under the hood is Blue Print 355ci V8 crate engine. Engine was dropped in early 2016. Power runs down through a Muncie 4-Speed Manual Transmission. Another large feature to note is she received a Ridetech Streetgrip suspension system. M&M Exhaust Systems Inc. out of Jasper, IN installed this in the summer of 2020 as well as the Muscle car Dual Exhaust in the fall of 2016. Car runs and drives out very well and has a great exhaust note! Odometer shows 1600 miles on her and that is since the restoration. Title shows 38k miles elapsed as of 2016 prior to restoration and listed it as actual so this looks to have been a fairly lower mile car! Current owner has had her for over 6 years, acquired from a private owner and is believed to be a 3-4 owner car. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! Options on this Corvette include: Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Seatbelts, and AM/FM Radio. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
