Chevrolet El Camino 355 CI Small Block 1970

General description : Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this awesome example of multi-purpose American Muscle, the 1970 Chevrolet El Camino! Built with a small block Chevy 350ci V8 engine, and backed up by a Turbo 350 3-speed Automatic Transmission, you will be ready for the show, driving down the street, or hauling lumber in this classic beauty. The paint job is very reminiscent of the 60’s in this beautiful Forrest Green. Inside the car, we have a luscious tan leather interior on bucket seats which contrasts the exterior very well. This car had gone through a mild restoration and was actually re-painted to match the original vehicle color. The engine and transmission are fresh with less than 1000 miles on them with upgrades like aluminum heads, RV cam, and Holley 4-barrel So it is very good to know the quality of work put into this restoration. Also inside the car, it comes equipped with 2 subwoofers behind the seats to give a better show appeal to the car. This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at http://www.GatewayClassicCars.com. It’s none of the above. It’s Chevrolet’s ICONIC El Camino and if you want to get technical, it is a coupe utility. The El Camino was based on a two-door station wagon and although it was based on a car line, it’s titled and classified as a truck. What you see here is not the average 1970 El Camino. The “Elky’s” were known to have rust issues, which makes a solid body basic El Camino highly sought after. This El Camino not only has a solid body, it received a refresher recently. The refresher consisted of a new 350, 350 horsepower engine installed along with a 350 transmission. That means this 1970 El Camino is “Show and Go.” Oh yeah…mash that pedal to the metal and watch this El Camino go quickly from mild to wild. The exterior and drivetrain could not be freshened up without touching the interior. Inside, you will find tan leather bucket seats. The tan color compliments the Forrest Green exterior while keeping it unique, classy, and simple. You will also find a three-gauge cluster displaying water temp, oil pressure, volts. Options include AM/FM Radio, Cassette, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Raised White Lettered Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at http://www.GatewayClassicCars.com. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
