General description : Built by industry renowned West Coast Customs of Burbank, California for Nascar Hall of Fame driver Rusty Wallace. This killer 1966 Chevrolet El Camino is custom finished in metallic blue over tan leather and riding on a high-performance Roadster Shop Chassis.
The smoothed and de-badged body is accentuated by tucked bumpers, a custom front spoiler, custom installed wood bed inlay, and five-spoke 20″ forged wheels featuring body-colored outer barrels mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 245/35 up front and 295/30 out back.
Power comes from a fuel injected 383ci V8 professionally built by Pro Motor Engines of Mooresville, NC, and features an Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI system, Edelbrock aluminum heads, a March billet serpentine drive system, finned black valve covers, and a custom aluminum radiator with an electric fan, while smoothed inner fenders and firewall showcase the mill like a fine work of art. Engine power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission and a 9-inch rear axle with a 3.34:1 posi-traction differential.
The cutting-edge Roadster Shop chassis is backed by adjustable Penske coil over suspension, power-assisted Baer six-piston disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, power rack and pinion steering. Today's highway speeds are no issue for this pro-touring machine.
Inside, a high-grade custom tan leather interior with blue accent stitching that has been carefully designed and fitted with air conditioning from Vintage Air, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and an impressive custom fit audio system utilizing Rockford Fosgate amplifiers and subwoofers. Additional features include a B&M shifter, billet door hardware, polished door sills, cup holders, and three-spoke billet steering wheel.
