Chevrolet Impala 383 Stroker V8 1962

General description : INCREDIBLE VALUE, BUILT 350 W/ ALUM HEADS, TH350, PS, PB, CLEAN & STR8 HARDTOP!

The 1962 Chevrolet Impala hardtop coupe is legendary for being cool, comfortable, and powerful. So when you can find one with a little extra shine and a powerful V8 – all for an affordable price – then you know it's time to pay attention.
This is a very desirable year for the full-sized Impala. Chevy revamped the coupe's styling to have a thicker, more aggressive C-pillar. This was combined with a chrome separating line at roof's base to create a hardtop convertible appearance that has remained very popular today. The front of this one shines bit brighter with an investment in the chrome bumper and headlight bezels. It's now a nice complement to the upgraded 17-inch American racing wheels (a hint at this one's added performance, but more on that later.) In the rear, Chevy signified the styling direction of the early 1960s by eliminating the tailfin. And the top-of-the-line Impala did this particularly nicely with the six taillight arrangement that was a standout to the car. Another great touch specially for the Impala was the full-length chrome strip running the profile in a progressive thickness. This appears like an arrow pushing the coupe forward, and within this brightwork is a red color stripe that gives a nice hint at what awaits when you step inside.
The interior color scheme is reversed from the exterior where the red is now dominant, and the white is used to provide some nice accents to the seats. So this one offers an attractive and coordinated total package. It feels every bit 60s with plenty of interior brightwork on the door panels, steering wheel, seat end panels, and dash. But while this is definitely a classic, newer carpeting, clear gauges, and a recently painted dash keep it feeling fresh. But the best feeling from this full-sized coupe comes from rolling down all the windows and allowing this pillarless hardtop push the wind through your hair like a convertible. And when you do this, you might also pick up on the extra growl from the exhaust.
Under the hood is a beleived to be 383 cubic-inch stroker motor. This performance V8 features a Holley four-barrel carburetor, aluminum heads, a performance intake, and forged valve covers. And you get to take extra control over this powerful package thanks to the B&M shifter for the hardy TH350 three-speed transmission. But even when you want to use this coupe for just a cool cruiser, you've got great anytime driving features like the power steering, power brakes, and the grip of modern tires.
Rarely do you get a chance at such a desirable classic with a serious upgrade in power for such an affordable price. So you know you need to hurry if you want to take this Impala home. Call today!!!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
