The history of the Impala is rich, long running, and one of the better selling cars in US history. Debuting in 1958 the Impala would see 10 generation spanning nearly 60 years with only a few years of a hiatus from the market! The late 50s and early 60s was an interesting time for the Impala as it was redesigned many times in a short amount of time. Its first design in '58, changed again in '59, once more in '61 and yet again in '62. Its not uncommon for a manufacturer to make subtle changes over the years but these were quite different and with great regularity. This '62 model is a 2-door Hardtop and she has the look you want! The white paint looks terrific and the red stripe breaks it up nicely and the white hub caps along with the redline tires really completes the stance of this fine automobile! Inside you'll find red vinyl interior to complement tones and looks new. Because it is. She received an very extensive restoration. Aesthetic work was completed very recently. Under the hood is a rebuilt 283ci V8 bored 0.30 over and backed by a 700R4 Automatic transmission. This Impala has 2" Corvette manifolds, 2.5" exhaust with Thrush Muffler, Roller Tip Rockers, balanced rear end, new bearing seals, brakes, lower rear control arms have been boxed in, and new brake and fuel lines. She is sporting a 3.73 gear ratio. Powertrain restoration was completed in 2020 and naturally was prior to the rest of the work. Odometer may have 71k miles on it, which are believed to be original to the car(Title supports the claim), there is only approx. 25 miles on her since restoration. Current owner has had her for over 10 years, acquired from a local private owner. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
