Description : Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer this 1965 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. According to the owner, this car was passed down about 7 years ago from a family member that purchased it when it was new. Walk around this '65 SS one should notice the gloss blue paint that is claimed to have been repainted in the 1970's and is offset with a black power convertible top. Adding to the curb appeal are chrome bumpers, chrome grille, 327 badging, Super Sport badging, chrome accent trim, black power convertible top with glass rear window, and 14" chrome hubcaps wrapped in white wall radial tires. The black vinyl interior flows well with the exterior theme. Features include bucket seats, black carpeting, SS badging, seat belts, chrome accent trim, AM radio, and a black vinyl boot for when the top is down. This Impala is powered by a 327 CID V8 engine that is mated to an automatic transmission. Under the hood is organized plus shows well with the Chevy orange block, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock carburetor, chrome air cleaner, and painted to match the block orange valve covers. Opening up the trunk one will see the full spare tire with jack and some original parts that were changed out. The owner also provided an owner's manual for this '65. If you are looking for a 60's American muscle classic, this Impala SS Convertible could be the one for you.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
