Chevrolet Impala LT1 350 V8 1962

General description : STUNNING CUSTOM IMPALA! FUEL INJECTED LT1 V8, 700R4 TRANS, A/C, BEAUTIFUL PAINT!

In terms of quality per dollar, this 1962 Chevrolet Impala hardtop is probably the most spectacular car in our showroom. You get a stunning show-quality paint job, all the creature comforts, LT1 power, and a spectacular leather interior, all for a price that's about half of what you would expect. What's the catch? There is none. This is just an amazing car at an amazing price.
We have receipts on the build totaling over $90,000, so you know this sucker's nice. It's also drop-dead gorgeous, wearing black cherry over burgundy paint, a combination that gets better and better the more you look at it and the lights in our studio just don't do it justice. The work is first-rate throughout, and the smooth, glossy bodywork shows no ripples or waves, excellent gaps, and an expert's attention to detail. You'll be hard-pressed to find any flaws here. There's a single pinstripe separating the two colors, and it ideally contrasts with the Impala's dramatic body lines, drawing your eye down the flanks and across the deck lid. There's an impossibly deep shine that's the result of many hours of wet sanding and buffing, and it's the kind of look that will never go out of fashion. All the chrome and stainless trim was likewise restored, and when your car looks this good, there's no reason to create a fake SS, so it carries a minimum of badging. It's not like anyone won't know what it is anyway.
Like the exterior, the interior is a custom job that's just stunning in every way. Low back bucket seats are wrapped in tan leather and suede for a very upscale look. There are custom door and side panels to tie it all together and the carpets invert the color scheme to really make for a knockout look. Body-colored pieces like the dash, tilt steering column, and custom center console that's just a work of art all add some color. The original speedometer is joined by vintage-looking gauges underneath, and a discreet A/C system works well to keep the big hardtop nice and cool. There's an AM/FM/CD stereo for the sounds and have a look around inside, because you'll see such niceties as courtesy lights in the sail panels and console, a nice touch. Even the trunk is artfully decorated with plush carpets and matching side panels that echo the interior design.
If you expected some wheezy old 283, you're going to be delighted to find a modern-tech 350 cubic inch LT1 powerplant instead. Transplanted from a Corvette, it makes a nice, round 300 horsepower and has the easy-going manners of an OEM piece. Turn the key and it starts instantly, it idles well even when it's cold, and there aren't many cars from the '60s that can run with modern hardware like this. It looks quite OEM so it's easy to service and under-stressed, especially with a giant aluminum radiator up front. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission that makes for effortless cruising and there's a bulletproof Ford 9-inch out back. There are coil springs all around, with a Mustang II front suspension to make it handle, plus vented disc brakes at all four corners. The stance is ideal, especially with those big, shiny 18-inch hoops and 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear performance radials.
You never dreamed that you could afford a car like this, yet here it is. Beautifully built, incredibly stylish, and easy to drive, this car gets everything right. Call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
