Chevrolet Malibu 454 CID V8 1968

General description : Our Detroit Showroom is proud to offer this iconic 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute. The iconic Chevrolet Chevelle was introduced in 1964 and was soon to become one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. In 1968, the Chevelle received newly sculpted sheet metal which included tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. This Chevelle looks absolutely stunning with its long hood and high rear quarter panels. This specific Chevelle makes an awesome driver with many modern features that make it a blast to drive, even if you plan on taking long cruises. Under the hood of this Chevelle rests a 454CID Big Block V8 which is for the most part in its original format. This 454 is equipped with original heads a Wieand Intake, Holley Carburetor and a set of stainless headers that give that nice muscle car rumble you’re looking for. Translating all of this power to the pavement is a TH400 Transmission that does an amazing job of putting the power down. Spark is courtesy of the MSD ignition set up which definitely adds to the reliability making it a well built machine. The whole engine compartment has been fully painted and dressed nicely for that show quality look and feel. This Chevelle sports a very shiny coat of Red paint that makes this beast stand out from the rest. This Chevelle also has an Onyx Black interior with a floor mounted "Staple Shifter" and the very cool Sunpro Tachometer located on top of the steering column for easy adjustments. This menacing Chevelle rests comfortably on a set of chrome wheels which are wrapped in a set of BF Goodrich radial tires. Every aspect of this Chevelle is completely impressive. If you are in the market for one of America's most iconic muscle cars, look no further. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
