Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 350 V8 1987

General description : Description
The 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS has remained a favorite because it's one of the meanest looking coupes of its era. And this one turns it up a notch with a sleeker black style and a more powerful crate V8 under the hood. Plus, you still get the comfortable and loaded feeling you expect from a proper Monte Carlo.
Black might be the best of the SS colors, because it gives this Monte Carlo a ton of presence. There was a nice investment to make sure that the factory-correct color was given a high-quality respray. So now the light loves to show off the deep gloss and shine. Plus, the tinted windows and upgraded Boss 18-inch black alloys make this a true midnight hero. We also love this generation Monte Carlo SS because it was built to cheat the wind. The special aerodynamic front end, sleek sides, and subtle ducktail spoiler were all part of a NASCAR-inspired package. So when a coupe is this clean and sharp, it makes for one of the most outstanding cars of its time.
The burgundy velour interior sets the tone correctly for a car like this. The dark red seems to carry the same aggressive attitude as the dark interior, and at the same time, you can also tell it was made for comfort. Plus, the whole presentation from the upholstery to the trunk show an underlying well-respected care. The bucket seats up front provide good bolstering, but still give the same all-day comfort you expect in any Monte Carlo. There's even a center console for added relaxation. It's a luxury performance car, so you get plenty of comfort features such as power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The stereo has even been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD unit with a plug-in for your iPod. The driver gets a grippy dual-spoke SS steering wheel. And that gives you a clear view at sporty full gauge package that includes a large speedo and tach.
These SS cars only received a 305 cubic-inch HO motor from Chevrolet. That's a fine powerplant, but it's no match for the 350ci V8 that now lives in this engine bay. This is a later crate motor that also includes upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers. These were built with the added comfort of a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and now it has a mild shift kit to make the most out of the added power. The complete driving package also includes power steering, power brakes with front discs, and sway bars front & rear. And the upgraded wheel package made way for brand new Continental Extreme Contact ZR-rated tries.
Complete with the original warranty card and owner's manual, you're looking at investments in style and power on top of one of the best 1980s classic coupes around. Call today!!!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
