Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this powerful 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This Monte Carlo has a strong 496 cubic inch big block Chevy V8 stuffed under the hood making gobs of torque right off idle, and it revs strong in any gear. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic putting all the power down to the rear wheels. The builder of the car unfortunately passed before it was completed, so much of the specifics of the car are not available, but there is documentation showing a lot of the work done.
A custom 3" exhaust was fitted to carry the deep rumble from the engine out the tailpipes. Receipts are available for a lot of the interior and exterior trim having been replaced. A Holley Sniper EFI system runs the engine, and a Vintage Air A/C system keep the driver cool. A Wilwood braking system bring the Monte Carlo to a safe stop time after time without brake fade thanks to the disc brakes. A Dakota Digital gauge cluster keeps all the pertinent information at the drivers fingertips to make sure this healthy Monte stays in good shape.
Options include: Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/Bluetooth, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Anti-Lock Brakes, Cloth Interior, and Alloy Wheels with Radial Tires.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
