Plus, good body panels really bring out all those curves we love in these Novas, like the crisp creases in the front end, kick-up on the rear fenders, and fastback profile. Rivaling the paint for shine are the mirror-like chrome bumpers, so you can tell more was invested here recently. And since we know these Novas for packing plenty of power, this has all the right details like the louver trim hood, SS badging front & rear, and Mag-style SS wheels.
Inside, the door panels, dash, carpeting, and headliner are all in excellent shape, and so they create a rich, dark atmosphere. You'll slip behind the Chevy dual-spoke SS steering wheel, which gives you an unobstructed view of the cool ultra-wide speedometer. This is a nice place to spend some time thanks to wood accents and all the right controls at your fingertips. The period-correct feeling even extends to the trunk where you have the correct jack and even a full-size Firestone Wide Oval tire (a performance must-have back in the day.) While this all looks like a great 1970s time capsule, there are very useful modern upgrades. The Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo lets you play modern tunes, and the air conditioning keeps riding cool while looking cool.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see if you love originality. It's the numbers-matching 307 cubic-inch V8. We really like how there has been some time taken to get all the dark component nice and glossy so that the orange on the block, valve covers, and intake contrast so nicely. And you also get the right hints of originality on places like the decal on the air topper. But most importantly, the way this one fires up so easily, you know there was time and money spent of this V8. And with the three-speed automatic transmission, you can comfortably enjoy period-correct cruising at its best. As you look in the undercarriage photos, you can see there was more invested in this coupe. Not only does it look nice and fresh, but also the newer stainless Flowmaster dual exhaust really gives the V8 a throaty sound.
