Chevrolet Nova 355 V8 1963

General description : SHOW QUALITY, COMPETITION READY SUSPENSION, BUILT 355 V8, AC, RECEIPTS, AWESOME!

When a classic car has been meticulously restored so that every detail is about custom speed and showmanship, it rarely leaves its creator's hands. But this 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova is up for grabs right now, and it has everything including a performance-built roller V8, competition-ready suspension, a custom A/C interior, and award-worthy paint.
Novas are great cars to start with as a custom build because they are small in size, light in weight, but big in stature. These were often an exercise in minimum chrome accents, which leaves the brightwork on the bumpers, light surrounds, and straight grille to really stand out. Of course, the shine that really grabs your attention is the shimmering Ice Silver color. Not only is it an amazing modern metallic paint, but also it was given a terrific canvas. This is the product of a frame-off restoration, and every panel lines up so nicely that the creases seem unbroken. It's the kind of total quality that only happens when an enthusiast cares more about the craftsmanship than the price. Plus, with all the custom touches like the two-tone pinstriping and large 18-inch US Mags wheels, this coupe announces it's something special the moment it arrives on the scene.
Just like the exterior, the interior is fresh, premium, and custom. The high-back bucket seats have modern bolstering, so this classic is all-day comfortable. In fact, you have all the best pieces like cold R134a air conditioning and provisions for a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo w/USB input. There's also plenty of style with the black and chrome steering wheel, Lokar floor shifter, and custom pinstriping on the dash that matches the exterior. And that full set of Dolphin gauges lets you know this is more than just a coddler, even before you twist the key and hear this Chevy roar.
While this Nova looks custom-built from every angle, you can tell the budget was really spent under the hood. Nearly everything on the entire powerplant is either polished or painted to match the body and engine bay. Even front-end reinforcements were added and painted – a true sign of a quality build that can win awards all on its own. This is a 355 cubic-inch roller motor, a nice upgrade from the six-cylinder that would have come stock in all Chevy II's this year. The V8 has been enchased and fortified for serious performance with 10:1 flat top pistons, Comp Cams performance camshaft, Summit heads, MSD Distributor, aluminum radiator w/electric fan, and March pulleys. It inhales deeply with Quick Fuel 650 CFM double-pumper four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock air gap intake. And it exhales with thunderous authority as Doug's headers feed the straight pipe dual exhaust. It connects to a TH350 three-speed with 2800 RPM stall and external trans cooler for excellent overall performance. That feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear with limited-slip and 31 spline Moser axles under Detroit Speed minitubs.. The front end is a TCI subframe that includes tubular A-arms and adjustable coilovers, and the rear is a Heidts four-link with adjustable coilovers. Plus, rack and pinion steering, Aerospace Components big brake kit with four-wheel disc brakes with 12" and 13" rotors, sway bars front & rear, and the modern grip of Nitto NT555 performance tires make for an unbeatable total package.
There's so much more on this build, so please call for all the details. We'll also go over the build receipts and restoration photos. This full custom Nova has the perfect recipe for everything from enjoying the long haul on the Power Tour to winning major awards. So don't miss your chance, call today!

About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
