Chevrolet Nova Rebuilt 350 V8 1969

General description : 1969 Chevrolet Nova The X frame based Chevy II started in 1962 and spanned 4 generations until it was discontinued in 1979 before a brief return with the 5th gen cars from 85-88.  Nova was a top model for the line until it became its own nameplate as Chevy II was dropped in 69.  Of these cars the late 60s tends to be the most sought after.  Muscle cars were in their prime and the 69 Nova was all muscle car.  The very nice Nova you see here is in good condition and has basically undergone a body on restoration a little at a time spanning the last 20 or so years.  The body may not have been pulled but every component has been gradually gone through and redone as the current owner has had the car.  It is done as an SS tribute so it has all of the Super Sport badges as well as the SS hood.  It was painted Lemans Blue, its original color, in 2003.  The paint is in good shape but does has a few nicks from being driven.  To be honest, the paint is really the only reason we have it priced as reasonably as we do.  Had it been a fresh paint job the car could easily be listed for more $.  All of the chrome and stainless is in good condition and nicely installed.  It does come with a set of new stainless for the front windshield as it has faded slightly.  The car has all new floors throughout and is solid with no rust issues.  The weather stripping has been redone and everything seals nicely.  The lights are all working properly and the taillights have been changed out for LEDs.  The Cragar SS wheels look perfect on a muscle car like this and are in good condition. Turning those wheels is a fully rebuilt 350 V8 motor.  It has been upgraded with an RV cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Edelbrock 600 cfm 4 barrel carburetor, electronic ignition and SS valve covers.  It has a nice clean look under the hood so in addition to driving well you can pop it open and show it off.  Backing up the motor is a Muncie 4 speed transmission that has been rebuilt.  It had an automatic previously and the conversion was done the correct way.  Looking at it you would have no clue that it wasn't always a Manual.  Just swapping transmissions is one thing but it has had the factory tachometer components added to the dash which requires changing out the whole gauge cluster, etc.  The suspension has been entirely rebuilt and front/rear sway bars added.  The dual exhaust sounds great and it has Turbo II mufflers.  It has power steering making it a nice easy driver.  The car was really built to be driven and has taken a few long trips throughout its life.  One was the power tour and the car performed well.    The interior of the car is finished out in Black and has all been redone.  The headliner, carpet and door panels are all new.  The bucket seats look great and have custom embroidered 1969 Novas on the headrests.  Between the seats is a factory manual center console with the gauge package and Hurst shifter.  Everything is working except for the new clock which was never connected.  Other features include the back up camera and AM/FM/Cassette player.  The trunk of the car is nicely finished out as well and has a custom box for the relocated battery.  This gives you easy access to the battery and really cleans up the look of the engine compartment.  This cool classic has been the pride and joy of the current owner for many years.  It was well built and extremely well cared for along the way.  This nice Nova could be yours for only $25,750.00!

About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
