Chevrolet Nova SS 350 V8 L48 1971

General description : Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS is not only coming off of long-term care, but also it has the right pieces to show it's a real-deal Super Sport. So this one gives you a terrific vintage premium appearance that's fun to show off, and it also has the numbers-matching V8 and four-on-the-floor to make it a blast to drive, too.
This Nova has a great story. It's believed to be only a three-owner car, and the last owner has held it for about four decades. He's loved it correctly, including giving it a full restoration around 1990 towards the beginning of this caretaking. When you do a quality work, and treat it with the utmost respect, the excellence endures. So it retains an unmistakable sporty style with the bright red paint. Plus, there are the great SS details, like the blackout grille, hood vent trim, side vents, dual exhaust tips, and blackout rear. But there's also a premium side here, too. You see it in the quality of the chrome bumpers and full trim. Plus, the full-length pinstriping and black vinyl roof are a great way to have some upper-class flair that also goes with the dark SS details. The correct Mag-style SS wheels with upgraded redline tires also go with this sporty and coordinated total presentation.
All the black accenting of the exterior gets you ready for the full black interior. You have the same level of care inside as you do on the outside, and so it's a quality overall presentation that keeps a very stock look. So you'll love the right vintage pieces, including the wood-like trim, correct trunk w/spare, and the stock Delco AM/FM radio is still there for display. As a true SS, you get a driver-oriented setup. This means high-back bucket seats with a center console in-between. There's a well-placed floor shifter and Chevy's iconic quad auxiliary gauges are just ahead of that. The dual-spoke steering wheel gives you a clear view to the classic wide speedometer and very handy tach.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching L48 350 cubic-inch V8. This is important, because it was the top dog motor designation and only available in the Super Sport version of the Novas. This one keeps its history with pride anywhere from the orange on the block, to the "Keep Your GM Car All GM" decal on the air grabber. Topped with a proper four-barrel carburetor, this one fires up and runs with the kind of strength that reaffirms decades of quality care. And because this is a real-deal SS, you'll love that you get full control of the power with the numbers-matching Muncie four-speed manual transmission. You even have a 12-bolt Positraction rear end for stout and confident take-offs. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide BF Goodrich tires complete this great driving total package.
The sale comes complete with the broadcast sheet so that you can confirm all the best pieces that makes this a rare and real SS Nova. This is the all-around classic that has been given the right care and has the right pedigree. So if you love a true Super Sport, call today!!!

About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
