Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1962 Chevrolet Nova II! The Chevy Nova was first known as the Chevy II and debuted all the way back in 1961 for the '62 model year. This was Chevy's answer to Ford's Falcon since it was dominating the Corvair in 1960. The Nova nameplate finally came into use for the second generation in 1966. While the Nova would see 5 total generations spanning up until 1988 many love the first generation for being the first and how easy they are to customize. This '62 is sharp and ready for a new home! The yellow paint is striking, in good shape, and really draws you in! A general note about the photos. The sun is at its peak and does make the paint appear much lighter. Its not quite canary yellow but not as light as it appears. More of a soft medium yellow, a nice balance in person. Chrome is nice and bright and contrasts well with the color. Inside you'll find black diamond vinyl seats that are very comfortable and in great condition. Under the hood is a V8 of unknown displacement. Owner believes it to be a 350ci V8 and is backed by an automatic transmission with a reverse valve body and Hurst Shifter. She was acquired from a private owner. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now. This is a very sharp and good running car! Options for this Chevy II include: Vinyl Interior, AM/FM Radio, Seatbelts, Hub Caps, and Radial Tires. About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
