Chevrolet Nova 1970

General description : What happens when you take a polished Chevrolet body, bolt it to an upgraded chassis, drop in 454 cubic inches of hot Chevrolet big block and pile on a list of mind-blowing parts? You get one incredible classic that instantly becomes the center of attention wherever it goes! Mixing mesmerizing aesthetics with a timeless interior and a level of detail that requires multiple looks to fully comprehend, this sweet Nova is a carefully calculated compilation of top-notch performance from some of the biggest names in the business. And what's better: it's a fully sorted cruiser that was built, above all else, to be driven and enjoyed. Want an impressive ride that you can hop in, turn the key and sail some blacktop with? Your chariot has arrived!
ASTRO-NOMICAL ATTITUDE
A fully sorted cruiser that's benefitted from detailed, frame-up restoration, this sweet Nova might just be the ultimate resto-mod. Visually, that exclusive status is achieved through solid, mostly original sheetmetal that's dressed in a silky layer of correct Astro Blue two-stage. Naturally, that factory flair is capped in correct Black vinyl. And it all adds up to one stunning Chevy coupe that rolls as an ardent champion for the best virtues of legendary American muscle: style, performance AND approachability!
The subdued and classy lines of the prototypical Nova are late '60s conservative. And because they're so universal in appeal, they've continued to gain significant popularity. At the front of this classic, a mirrored bumper frames stylish parking lamps beneath a stainless, bowtie-branded grille that's bookended by traditional halogen headlamps. Behind that grille, a retrofitted Cowl Induction Hood leads the eye to like-new glass that's cased in straight trim, matte wipers and polished drip rails. At the sides of that greenhouse, a conservative profile centers muted spears, polished bowtie mirrors and traditional GM door handles between wispy fender louvers, '427' branded marker lamps and tasteful 'Nova' scripts. And at the back of the car, a second mirrored bumper frames simple taillights and a third tasteful 'Nova' branding.
BIG BLOCK BLISS
Check the Satin Black engine bay and you'll find 454 cubic inches of racy Chevy big block that's clean, mean and ready to rock and roll! That hot mill begins with a traditional, Satin Black air cleaner, which floats a reusable filter element above a big Holley 4-barrel. That carb, piped to stainless lines and a coated pump, surfs an aluminum Chevrolet Performance intake, which feeds aluminum GM Performance Parts heads. The fires get lit by a Chevrolet Performance HEI distributor, which sequences spark through loomed GM Performance Parts plug wires. Those wires split factory-style, cast iron exhaust manifolds, which dodge a high-torque mini starter. Pliable V-belts spin a color-keyed water pump between a modern alternator and lucid power steering. A factory-style radiator charges GM-stamped hoses and old school tower clamps to keep things cool. And naturally, attractive Proform valve covers are dotted with a polished Chevrolet oil cap and a polished Chevrolet breather.
RESTO-MOD: THE CAR OF THE PEOPLE
Park this Chevy on a lift and you'll find solid floorpans that are poised to battle wet and dry roads alike. A tough Auto Gear Muncie kicks four cogs in front of a dressed 12-bolt that's finished with a posi-traction differential, 3.55 gears and sturdy LPW axle braces. That pumpkin rides a factory-style rear-clip that's built with mono-leaf springs and CalTracs traction bars. That clip pushes a factory-style, independent front-half, which floats factory-style power steering behind a thick sway bar. Power assisted stops come courtesy of front discs and rear drums. Charred dinosaurs traverse large stainless pipes, which roar through electronic cutouts and rumble through dual-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. And at the corners, retro steelies spin 215/70R14 BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial redlines in front of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial redlines.
OLD SCHOOL COOL
The timeless Black interior hiding behind this Nova's glossy doors is a correct factory affair that, with the help of simple customization, remains both stylish and cool! Correct bench seats, propping color-keyed stitching and factory headrests under the driver and front passenger, split fade-free flooring that's garnished with clean mats and a short Hurst shifter. In front of that stick, a monochromatic dash hangs factory telemetry over factory audio and covert Bosch accessory gauges. That seat, dash and carpet trifecta is completely framed by a tight headliner and ornate side panels. And the driver spins a handsome, Chevrolet-branded steering wheel.
The product of a detailed, ground-up build that would probably take a second mortgage to duplicate, this Chevy rolls on the right side of impressive. It's a highly desirable muscle car that's been carefully fitted with all the right stuff to be one seriously cool cruiser. Dreaming of the perfect blend of old school Motor City style and modern big block performance? You've found the ultimate classic!

About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
