General description : World-Class Magazine Featured Nova Restomod LS3 V8 Automatic Detroit Speed Susp.
All Chevy Performance Magazine feature car, August 2022 issue. A perfect blend of power, looks and fabrication make this Chevy Nova a showstopper!
Under the hood is a 6.2-liter LS3 producing 440 rear wheel horsepower that is mated to a 6L80E six speed automatic transmission all backed up by a Detroit Speed 9-inch rear end with 3.25 gears and Mosher 31-spline axles. The internals on the LS3 powerhouse have been beefed up with Texas Speed camshaft and nodular iron crankshaft. Sitting on top of the engine is a fabricated aluminum intake with Spectre cold-air intake kit.
The stance and ride quality have been enhanced with Detroit Speed hydroformed front subframe and C6-style spindles. JRi double-adjustable shocks, 450-pound springs and 1-inch sway bar all provide the perfect front suspension mix. Out back the rear suspension is a Detroit Speed QUADRALink fitted with JRi double-adjustable shocks, 175-pound springs and 7/8-inch sway bar.
This iconic Nova rides on Hot Rods by Boyd HR-99 wheels (18×9 front, 18×11 rear) wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires: 255/35R18 front, 295/35R18 rear. Stopping power is by way of Wilwood brakes with 14-inch rotors and six-piston calipers up front along with 13-inch rotors and four-piston calipers out back.
The quality of the exterior finishes speak for themself, and is sure to impress even the most critical eye. Expertly sprayed Spies Hecker Ruby Red Pearl custom mixed paint beautifully accentuates the subtle yet stunning body modifications. Many skilled hours were spent flush-mounting glass, deleting drip rails, custom-fabricating metal front and rear spoilers, flushing the fuel filler, smoothing and tucking the bumpers, and incorporating Aerospace hood pins.
The interior is as nice as the exterior with custom black & tan leather Built By Ricky (Alexander City, AL), Ididt steering column with Billet Specialties steering wheel, Lokar shifter with tap shift and custom fabricated dash utilizing Dakota Digital gauges to keep an eye on what is taking place under the hood.
