Chevrolet Nova 396 CID V8 4-Speed Manual $52,000 1969

General description : For sale in our Nashville showroom is a 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS 396. This Nova SS for sale has been in the care of a true craftsman that has taken the care, time and effort to keep this car in great shape. It is truly a time machine to your youth. It will take you back to a time when young boys who thought themselves men, drove their hotrods to the local cruise spot, raised their hoods and tried to find a race. Only this SS for sale is not patched together with the best parts the owner could find in his friends left over parts bin. This Nova SS is put together right! The engine is of course, a Chevy Big Block 396 topped off with Edlebrock performer heads. The heads are fed air and fuel via a Holley 770 street avenger Carburetor and Edlebrock performer intake manifold. A march serpentine belt system keeps everything tiddy under the hood. The horsepower and monster torque is then geared up through a Borg and Warner four speed manual transmission that is controlled with a Hurst shifter. Leaving the tail shaft of the transmission the power continues to the rear wheel equally through a Chevy 12 bolts rear axle housing a posi unit and 3.08 gear set. The power plant is not the only thing on this car to envy, the exterior is lazer straight and dripping with sliver paint accented nicely by the black vinyl interior. Of course you would expect nothing less that Rally rims wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial TA’s . Imagine next Friday night you fire up this classic and cruise down to the local spot, you know the one, where young boys who think themselves men, show off their new 75 horsepower air filters and coffee can mufflers. As you drive through the lot, watch as slowly but surely hoods start to close and crowds seem to part, as on one is looking to line up with your new ride. Options for this 1969 Nova SS include: AM/FM with compact disc player, power steering, power brakes, vinyl interior, seat belts and rally wheels wrapped with radial tires. for more information call us at 615-213-1800 or email us at nashville@ gatewayclassiccars.com

About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
