Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1940 Chevrolet Pickup Rat Rod! This is not your grandpa's pickup truck! This era is commonly pursued to turn into custom rides and that is certainly what has been done here! We have seen a lot of Rat Rods in here over the years but this one sure looks like one of the nicest and coolest ones yet! You can't help but smile when you walk around it. The cab looks in good shape and paint looks like a nice patina. The color tones really balance well. The brown vinyl interior is sharp and comfortable and surprisingly spacious. I am 6'2" tall and have plenty of leg room and even a few inches over my head. Interior looks well done, nice attention to detail and even has cup holders. Powering this cool sled is a big Inline 6-cylinder engine, believed to be 250 cubic inches. Power is ran down through a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smooth. The big I6 motor sounds very good and I'm sure supplies a great amount of power giving this ride a respectable and more importantly useable power/weight ratio! Current owner has had her for over 4 years, acquired from a private owner out of Indiana. This truck like many Rat Rods does not have an odometer. The truck is titled as a 1940 Chevrolet K10 and the title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! If you are looking for a well-built, super cool and clean street machine, this Chevy will get the job done and turn heads while doing it! Options on this Chevy include: Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and Alloy Wheels. This 1940 Chevrolet Pickup Rat Rod is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at http://www.GatewayClassicCars.com. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
