Chevrolet Sedan 171 Cubic Inch 4 Cylinder 1928

General description : 1928 Chevrolet Series AB National 171 Cubic Inch 4 Cylinder 3 Speed Manual
Here we have a 1928 Chevrolet National for sale. Chevrolet introduced the Series AB National in '28 as they had become the biggest competition to the Model A Ford. It was designed with a longer wheelbase and became the first introduction of four-wheel brakes. Also, it was the last year the 4-cylinder engine would give power in a Chevrolet until 1961. The one we have for you has been kept close to its roots and is beautiful example of a collectible classic. The body on it is in excellent condition for its age and has clearly been well cared for. It's covered in the Blue and Black two-tone paint scheme that does a great job of complimenting the body. The paint is accented by the black top and the white pin stripping. All the metal is very nice from front to back. The headlights are also very nice, and both the front and rear bumpers are in great shape. Out back it has the factory style spare with a cover. UP front the grill is in good condition along with the Chevrolet Logo. To finish off the exterior it's sitting on the factory style steel disc wheels that are painted body color.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '28. On the inside it has been very well cared for as well. It features the blue cloth color scheme with the white headliner. Up front it has the bucket seats and in the back, it has the bench seat. Both door panels and side panels are in nice condition. Looking at the dash we can see that's it been kept close to stock. It has a new ignition in stalled and has the floor push to start. It also has the manual shifter in the floor as well. It comes with the wood steering wheel that's in very nice shape. All the interior if very nice in this '28.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood we can see that it looks to be close to stock. The firewall is all solid and in great condition along with both doors for the engine access. It's powered by the 171 cubic 4 Cylinder engine that's been detailed out and dressed and detailed out. It's mated to the 3 Speed Manual Transmission that shifts out good. This little engine still sports the 6-volt system and is a very reliable and great starter for its age. The 35 HP engine isn't going to blow people away on the highway, but it is a reliable classic that you can happily add to any collection. Don't miss out on this Classic Chevrolet that deserves to be cared for just like it has been its entire life!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
