Chevrolet Vega 4 cyl Twin Cam 1975

General description : Here is a blast from the past that will be a hot ticket here at CRUISIN CLASSICS. 1975 Chevrolet Vega Cosworth #0735. With only 4,925 Actual Miles, this Cosworth has been highly documented to show its' life from the Newspaper advertising from the Dealer (1-10-1976, Johnstown Tribune-Democrat) from where the car was purchased (see pictures), to the past progression of titles and mileage, odometer diclosures and much more. Very, very cool documented history. These rare rides were seen on occasion and the owners loved them. The Cosworth was a 4 cylinder, Twin Cam, 110hp, special edition. While not setting records in the quarter mile, it did take the Vega to another level. Back in the day (1969), John DeLorean was given charge of the Chevrolet Division of General Motors. Fast forwarding a few years, the Cosworth was supposed to be the "import killer" with the influx of imported vehicles. They were only made for 2 years (75-76) with a total number for both years being 3057 produced. All were numbered with this one being #0735 out of 2061 made in '75. Unfortunately the popularity for the Cosworth did not come until decades later. There is a nationwide club of enthusiasts out there to keep the car alive. This car in particular has been repainted and is of driver quality. The exterior and undercarriage show signs of use and perhaps long periods of storage. The unmistakable look of the Vega is masked by the Cosworth badging (mostly decals) and the Gold wheels. The Daytona tires have little to no tread loss so this is ready for the road right now. The interior is in superb condition from carpet to headliner, seats and general overall esthetics. The gold, swirl decal on the dash facia is in tact and also in great condition. In the pictures you can see for yourself that it is like it is supposed to be even as far as the number plate. It is ready for the road. I would suggest that all Cosworth lovers get in line and check this baby out in detail. We welcome 3rd party inspectors and we will also encourage you to come see it in person. If you have any additional questions, please call one of our friendly sales staff. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
