Chrysler Imperial 440 1967

General description : A 1967 Chrysler Imperial Crown just docked itself up to the Cruisin Classics Showroom. This survivor is a beautiful representation of elegance and luxury in a time in which the car companies were competing to be the first and the best. This car was definitely in the race. It is loaded with a ton of options that make life easier and the ride that it offers is like driving a cloud. The last owner has had it for the last 38 years and the miles of 77,054 are Actual.
Starting from the outside, the paint color is Light Green Metallic that shows a little wear but still plenty of shine. No record of a repaint but obvious spots of touch up. There are a couple of dings in the body and a couple of spots in the paint that are obvious close up but again, does not take away from the overall beauty of the car. The beauty continues with the Imperial Bird wheels on NEW tires, great big chrome front and back, stainless trim in all the right spots, Crown badging and the Imperial Bird insignia in the front turn signal lens's that puts an exclamation point on the sign of the times.
Inside you will find the green seats not only inviting but comfortable and POWER. Enjoy the Tilt, Telescopic steering wheel, power windows, power brakes, power locks, trunk release in glove box, plenty of room in the back, real wood trim and a dash that looks like no other. It is very, very easy to drive.
The drivetrain consists of a big car appropriate 440 cubic inch, 4 bbl. engine matched with a 3-speed automatic. The rear end has 2.94 gear ratio. A new battery is under the hood and fresh oil for the new owner.
FYI.. The fuel gauge, air conditioner and drivers side vent window (not a necessity) would need some attention. We have priced the car accordingly.

About Chrysler
The Chrysler Corporation, one of the "big three" was founded by Walter Chrysler in 1925

Apart from artdeco(isque), airflow and airstream models, Chrysler's early years may lack lustre in design terms but not in technical. Their list of early automotive "firsts" includes Floating Power i.e. Rubber engine mounts, replaceable oil filters, downdraft carburetor, and four-wheel hydraulic brakes.

Things were to change after the war, Exner revived Chrysler production car design with the sleek, sculptured Forward Look designs of 1955 that transformed the product line overnight. The flagship in 1955, Chrysler 300, came with HEMI power. The 300, arguably the first muscle car, became a legend on and off the race track and set records throughout the 1950s, The Legend of Hemi was born.
