Chrysler New Yorker 440 V8 1974

General description : CLEAN SURVIVOR, RARE ST. REGIS EDITION, COLD AC, ALL POWER, TRUE COLLECTOR MOPAR

This is a top-of-the-line luxury car that remains in survivor-grade condition. And because this triple-while 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham is such an opulent machine, driving this time capsule means getting a big V8 and cold A/C. So it's an amazing total package for quite an affordable price.
This is a classic that has received all the right care. The Sapporo White paint is believed to be original, and while it's not perfect, it has a level of crispness that still lives up to the New Yorker's luxury image. And the level of excellence is seen on the brightwork where the grille, bumpers, rocker trim, wheel trim, and headlight surrounds still have a mirror-like quality. Plus, it retains all the right details – front the pinstripe to the fender skirts. It's this level of quality that helps re-affirm that the mileage is likely actual. And if so, averaging less than 350 miles a year means there would be more mileage on the odometer if we only drove this once a year from our showroom to Palm Beach and back. And lovers of Chrysler luxury will notice that this upper-level Brougham model is further distinguished with the premium St. Regis package. Not only is it rare (St. Regis was not offered for the full 1974 model year,) but it's also how this gets the half vinyl roof that adds extra class to this long coupe.
While muscle cars look for triple black, the best luxury machines demand triple white. So when you open the door, you'll be pleased to see that the seats (along with the exterior paint and vinyl roof) complete this ultra-desirable package. Just like the exterior, this is exceptionally preserved. In fact, you can still clearly see the Brougham crests embossed on the seatbacks. This is a full-sized luxury coupe, and so there is plenty of room for family and friends. But when it's time for more individualized comfort, both rows have fold-down armrest and individual padding. When you slip behind the factory wheel, you have a fantastic appearance where the wood-like trim matches the dash and doors for a full uniform presentation. Plus, Chryslers were the best at making the driver the king. That's why it's an easy reach to all the best premium features, including the power windows, power locks, factory AM/FM stereo, and factory air condition that's still blowing cold.
Under the hood is the mighty 440 V8. This looks fantastically factory-correct, right down to the air topper with factory decals. While this big block powerhouse was a favorite on the muscle car scene, in the New Yorker it had a different role. It utilizes its powerful and torquey heart in a more refined way. So no rumbling burnouts here, but you do get to be the first to pull away for the stoplight any time you want. Plus, it has power steering, front disc brakes, a three-speed automatic transmission, and cloud-like ride quality. So it's the kind of classic luxury that can still effortlessly take you down the boulevard today.
Complete with owner's manual, you're looking at rare luxury in rare survivor form. So when something is distinguished is also so affordable, you know you need to hurry if you want to take it home. Call today!!!

About Chrysler
The Chrysler Corporation, one of the "big three" was founded by Walter Chrysler in 1925

Apart from artdeco(isque), airflow and airstream models, Chrysler's early years may lack lustre in design terms but not in technical. Their list of early automotive "firsts" includes Floating Power i.e. Rubber engine mounts, replaceable oil filters, downdraft carburetor, and four-wheel hydraulic brakes.

Things were to change after the war, Exner revived Chrysler production car design with the sleek, sculptured Forward Look designs of 1955 that transformed the product line overnight. The flagship in 1955, Chrysler 300, came with HEMI power. The 300, arguably the first muscle car, became a legend on and off the race track and set records throughout the 1950s, The Legend of Hemi was born.
