Dodge B-series 218 Inline 6 1952

General description : Featured and up for sale in our Orlando Florida showroom is this classic 1952 Dodge B-3-B Pilothouse Pickup. Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this very rare 1953 Dodge Pickup. This rare post-war era collectable still features its original engine and transmission and still runs fantastic! The B-Series trucks were by far the finest and most advanced pickups of their day. First of all was its advanced, handsome cab styling. Dodge designers referred to it as the Pilothouse safety cab. This was in reference to the improvements in visibility over the previous cab. It was achieved from Chrysler's famous "chair height" seat and from improved driver visibility through the higher and wider windshield, door glass and rear window. This truck has undergone a first class restoration. The black upholstery is contrasts nicely with the Yellow paint and Wood trimmed bed. This truck is extremely reliable with powerful 6 Cylinder motor and virtually indestructible 3 Spd Manual transmission. Dodge Brothers Company, founded by Horace and John Dodge in 1900, initially produced components for car manufacturers. In 1914 they stepped into car manufacturing when introducing four-cylinder Dodge Model 30 with all-steel body and 12v electric system.

By 1920 Dodge had become the second biggest car manufacturer in the USA, unfortunately the same year both of the brothers died, the company in turn to was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928.
