Ford Coupe 350 V8 1946

General description : INCREDIBLE VALUE!! 350 V8, TH350, MUSTANG II STYLE IFS, COLD R134 AC, PB W/DISCS

Fat-fendered Fords like this 1946 Ford Coupe make for some great hot rods. With room for a potent V8 under the hood, lots of creature comforts inside (including A/C), and an aggressive stance that stands out in a crowd, this cool coupe is a street rod that is polished enough to be a daily driver.
It's amazing you can get this kind of presentation for the price. The Cream White paint is the perfect canvas for the custom pinstriping on the front and sides. And we especially love how you can tell there was a recent investment in making sure all the brightwork (a hallmark of this classic) is looking its best. And those 15-inch Boyd Coddington wheels give this one a great profile. You'll even love the subtle modern upgrades like the sport mirrors and the third brake light integrated into the license plate holder. But more than all the street rod upgrades, you can also take pride in owning a '46 Ford. This is Ford's first car model year back in civilian production after WWII, which will always make you happy to show off this coupe.
Inside, you know this is has been fully customized once you take one look at the seats. After all, bucket seats and a center armrest were decades away when this Ford first came into this world. The comfortable green fabric nicely coordinates with the side panels, carpeting, headliner, and rear seats to create a full uniform appearance. Even the exterior cream color returns on the dash and steering column for a well-coordinated total package. From the driver's seat you can see a lot of investment when into custom work. It starts with the Lecarra steering wheel, and beyond that is long digital gauge panel that glows a cool red. Also within your reach is the AM/FM/CD player, power windows, and controls for the modern R134a air conditioning.
Under the hood is small block power that showcases plenty of shine on the etched valve covers, matching air topper, alternator, firewall, and so much more. And beyond the style, this 350 cubic-inch V8 has the substance of a Holley four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, and headers. This is all part of a total package built to balance power and comfort. For example, the TH350 three-speed transmission is built to handle the torque that this coupe is putting on the road, and it also is good for automatic cruising. The same goes for the front disc brakes, modern Cooper tires, and upgraded Mustang II independent front suspension.
Complete with maintenance records, this is an impressive total package that combines power, comfort, and history. So when you can get it all for such a nice price, you should hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
