Stk#052 1937 Ford Wild Rod Pickup
Painted Yellow BC/CC with a chopped top this pickup has a power hood, power bedcover, dual California mirrors, smooth running boards, and chrome KMC Rims with Yokohama AB Sport tires. There is a stainless grill, stainless head lights, and stainless exhaust tips coming through the running boards. Flush mount windshield, remote suicide doors with air ride. There is a recessed license plate in the bed along with custom tail lights. Jump terminals located on the frame. Kill switch. This is a really good looking pickup. You are sure to be noticed cruising in this Wild Rod. The interior is Tan & white leather with bucket seats. Custom door panels are tan & white. There is a custom console with B&M shifter in it. Tan carpet, custom floor mats, a Viper dash with Autometer gauges with white face, Eclipse AM/FM/CD player with Vintage Heat and A/C. All the knobs and switches are hidden as well as the key switch. Ididit tilt chrome column with Billet column drop. Polished Grant steering wheel with half wrapped leather to match the interior. Billet gas pedal with Lokar linkage, Billet brake pedal pad. White headliner, dash and top half of doors are painted yellow to match car. Interior looks good! The engine is a 350 with small cam and gear drive. 350 Auto transmission, serpentine belt system, polished A/C and alternator brackets, Billet pulleys, chrome A/C compressor and alternator, HPC headers, chrome water pump. Chrome Coolflex hose top, chrome coil, GM aluminum intake, Holley 4 barrel carb. Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers grooved and polished. Lokar linkage, Mallory unilite distributor, yellow plug wires, Billet Chevy logo wire holders, chrome steering linkage, chrome transmission stick & tube. There is a custom aluminum radiator, electric fan, Mustang II type front end with rack and a 9" Ford rear end. This pickup will surely make you smile! Showstopper!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.
In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.
In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
