Ford F-100 1953

General description : When it comes to 'old school cool', it doesn't get much better than a tricked-out pickup. Comfortably accommodating two passengers, and boasting the coveted ability to haul anything from a building block to a big block, these fabled workhorses combine the best characteristics of a flashy coupe with the straight up utility of a commercial truck. And, in ultimate homage to golden age Detroit design, they seem to ALWAYS look great! Wrapping clean Italian Leather and a smooth 302/4-speed powertrain in lust worthy aesthetics, this impressive Ford is one of the nicest Effies on the market. And if you're looking for an urbane head turner that mixes timeless style with killer performance, it's a solid stake for your next street rod!
F100 SUPER STAR
Fully sorted and ready to roll, this super cool pickup recently received a ground-up, nut-and-bolt restoration that, completed in the Summer of 2019, earned the truck Ultimate 10 honors at the F-100 Supernationals. As you can tell from our high-resolution photos, that first class build is highlighted by a smooth coat of glossy Ford Toreador Red Metallic 2-stage. Under that high quality pigment, an all-steel fuselage joins solid panels with a new, Walnut-lined bed. And that massaged profile centers excellent alignment under bright reflections that bounce off Kansas-flat surfaces.
Naturally, this Ford's professional rebuild includes a roster of tasteful details. At the front of the truck, a chromed grille hangs modern headlights between a mirrored bumper and quite possibly the coolest Ford emblem ever created. Above that grille, a rolled hood floats clean 'FORD F-100' scripts in front of stylish mirrors, polished wipers and fresh glass. At the sides of that hood, the truck's sweeping profile founds polished door handles and a factory fuel filler above painted running boards. And at the back of those boards, a second mirrored bumper reflects clean lights and polished tailgate hardware.
FORD RACING
Check the Toreador Red Metallic engine bay and you'll find 302 cubic inches of proven Ford power that was professionally assembled by the folks at Roanoke, Virginia's Terry Walters Precision Engines. At the top of the storied mill, a polished air cleaner funnels wind into a coated Holley 4-barrel, which drops a precise mixture of air and fossils into a spry Edelbrock Performer intake. That intake is bolted to aluminum Roush heads, which balance tasteful valve covers and a polished Ford Racing breather opposite a roller cam, roller lifters and roller rockers. Fires are lit by an aftermarket distributor, which sequences spark between an MSD 6AL box and loomed Accel Super Stock plug wires. Pliable V-belts spin a polished AC compressor opposite a modern alternator. Cooling comes courtesy of a big KKS Motorsports radiator, which fronts a large electric puller fan. Ample lubrication is provided by a deep-sump oil pan, which, like the rest of the motor, is decked in traditional Ford Blue skin. And it all adds up to 370 dyno-proven horsepower!
BUILT RESTO-MOD PROUD
Judging by appearance, this classic spent most of its blue-collar life living clean and working hard. So, when the time came for rebirth, the truck was a prime candidate for thorough modernization. Nowhere is that theme more evident than under the skin. The dressed 302 sends power to a proven A0D 4-speed, which spins a trusty Currie 9-inch that's finished with 3.73 gears and a locking differential. That smooth drivetrain pushes a nicely upgraded rear-clip that features Total Cost Involved springs. Tracking is provided by a Total Cost Involved Mustang II front-clip, which follows power rack-and-pinion steering with tubular control arms. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to retrofitted power front disc and rear drum brakes. At the center of the floor, aluminized exhaust makes excellent use of throaty turbo mufflers. And at the corners of the chassis, chromed US Mags Ramblers twist 235/65R17 Blacklion Voracio H/Ts in front of 245/60R18 Blacklion Voracio H/Ts.
ITALIAN CONNECTION
When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a comfortable cockpit that wraps modern GTO buckets in premium Italian leather. Opposite those power-operated thrones, a painted dash hangs Dakota Digital VHX telemetry beside Vintage Air conditioning. At the base of that dash, a custom console props modern Pioneer audio on clean carpet that's fashioned around attractive Lokar pedals. At the edges of that rug, custom side panels front convenient power door locks and tight power windows. And in front of the driver, a polished and wood-rimmed steering wheel laps a tilting Ididit column.
Both alluring and practical, this awesome Ford is a tastefully refined take on the enduring concept of the American pickup truck. Combining top-notch craftsmanship with proven mechanicals, it presents the rare opportunity to land a show stopping classic that easily doubles as a sorted weekend cruiser. Don't miss your chance to claim this awesome custom!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
