Ford F-100 Pick Up Truck 1956

General description : It's no secret that Ford builds some of the most celebrated trucks on the planet. From the Model A forward, every generation has found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of show stopping blue ovals, and this sleek '56 F100 is just the latest in a series of sweet Effie head turners. Mixing a buff 454 with a tough Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed, and slick street rod aesthetics that'll park well at any show, this clean classic is simply fantastic! If you're shopping for a choice collectable that mixes timeless swagger with svelte style, take a close look at this awesome F100.
THE CLASSICALLY HANDSOME CUSTOM
The beneficiary of a professional, ground-up restoration that was completed in late 2020, this super cool pickup combines the standout attributes of old school Ford steel with choice customization that's so well integrated you'd swear it rolled right off the assembly line. The truck's straight fuselage mirrors a sophisticated coat of PPG two-stage. And those excellent reflections trace Kansas-flat surfaces to suggest many labor-intensive hours were spent exacting top-notch finish work.
At the front of this Ford, a chromed grille hangs traditional halogen headlights between a nosed hood and a massaged valance that's been relieved of its bumper. That hood leads a shaved and filled cowl, which frames a Vintage Glass greenhouse that's complete with one-piece, power-operated windows. Shaved doors shade metal steps between fiberglass fenders, which crawl toward a stylish wood bed. That bed, secured with polished strips, hoists a billet fuel filler in front of a crisp, 'FORD' branded tailgate. And at the bottom of that gate, quality United Pacific LEDs light a custom roll pan.
4 + 4 + 454
454 cubic inches of dual-quad big block in a short wheelbase pickup? Yep, sounds like a lot of fun to us! Summon the truck's billet Eddie Motorsports hood supports and you'll find 454 cubic inches of legendary Chevrolet big block that, thanks to classic dual-quad induction, turns a hefty horsepower into wide smiles! At the top of the gorgeous mill, a polished air cleaner funnels breeze into bright Edelbrock carburetors, which stack an electric choke behind stainless lines, Russell fittings and a liquid-filled MQQN Equipment pressure gauge. Those carbs ride a chrome intake, which feeds cast iron heads that tilt Lunati Voodoo roller rockers between a Lunati cam, polished valve covers and polished MQQN Equipment breathers. Fresh Ron Francis wiring charges a Joe Hunt Mag-Look distributor, which fires hot Taylor plug wires that are loomed around coated Sanderson headers. Polished pulleys join polished timing components to cage a polished alternator, a polished water pump and a polished power steering pump. In front of those ancillaries, a thick aluminum radiator makes excellent use of a custom closeout and a big SPAL puller fan. Even minor components are well-thought and well-executed, with items like ARP studs and ARP bolts joining details like a Melling oil pump and a liquid-filled MQQN Equipment temperature gauge. And the custom, Satin Black engine bay looks great framing niceties like a polished latch, trick dipsticks and polished fuel pump.
MODERN MOVES
That proven powerplant has, along with the truck's cooled Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed, been tuned for a maximum combination of performance and efficiency. The performance aspect of that equation is greatly helped by a 9-inch Ford pumpkin that's finished with a posi-traction differential, 31-spline axles and fun, 3.50 gears. Everything rolls on a sturdy Fat Man Fabrications chassis, which plants QA-1 coil-over-shocks in a two-inch widened Mustang II front-clip and a 4-link rear-clip. Power rack-and-pinion steering makes parking easy and turns a cinch. A polished brake booster juices polished Wilwood calipers, which clamp four drilled and slotted rotors. Custom 2.5-inch exhaust stretches an H-shaped crossover in front of rowdy Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers. The truck's two-inch lowered stance looks great wrapped around 18 and 20-inch Schott Velocitys. And flashy details include a polished oil pan, polished control arms, a polished transmission pan and a polished flywheel cover.
NOTHING BEATS CUSTOM!
Swivel the doors and you'll reveal a full custom cockpit that's classy, simple and exceptionally stylish! Plush Ultraleather covers a sculpted bench seat that rides low and wide. In front of that seat, a custom dash hangs crisp Classic Instruments telemetry over tidy Clayton Machine Works pedals. Custom side panels frame clean Daytona carpet and a tight suede headliner. And the driver spins a half-wrapped Budnik steering wheel around a tilting Flaming River column.
Perpetually cool and visually stunning, this awesome Ford is a classic example of the skill and creativity that defines our hobby. Backing great presence with excellent restoration, it presents the rare opportunity to land a well-done showstopper that's fresh, formidable and ready to shine. Don't miss your chance to own this sweet F100!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
