Ford F-150 Big Window Restomod 393 V8 1956

General description : Description
This 1956 Ford F-100 has a true hot rod/rat rod style on the exterior that we all love today. But what's really going to impress you is what's beneath the skin. You've got a performance-built V8, fully upgraded suspension, five-speed stick shift, and four-wheel disc brakes. And you get to enjoy it all from the comfort of an upgraded A/C interior.
Matte black paint is an instant sign of a true hot rod. Everything from the welding marks to the forward leaning stance is all about a tough/aggressive machine built with muscle as its priority. The windshield sun visor, big hood ornament, classic wheel covers, curb feelers, fender skirts, and spotlight are all part of this vintage street machine attitude. While the glossy lumber and bright slats have a premium look that contrasts the exterior's roughneck style, it's really just there to remind people there have been more thought that went into this one than just pure power.
The upgrade to a big back window lets in plenty of extra light to the interior. The exterior black returns inside, and all this darkness makes upgrades like the bench seat with tuck and roll-style inserts really stand out. And while the exterior is about looking mean, the interior is quite thoughtful with comfortable upgrades like power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The banjo-style wood and chrome steering wheel is on a tilt column, so you get a great view of the upgraded gauges. Did you notice how nicely the tach compliments the floor shifter?
The reason why this one can look so mean on the outside is because of what's under the hood. It's a 351 cubic-inch stroker V8 that now displaces 393ci total. This was a full performance build done in 2012. It includes a Comp Cams camshaft, MSD coil, high rise intake, and Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor. And headers feed the sweet-sounding side exhaust. The full package is rated at 430 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, and we have the dyno sheet to prove it! To make sure this power is properly handled, nearly $4k was invested in the Tremec five-speed manual transmission, including the upgraded the flywheel and bellhousing, too. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see desirable added features like the Heidts Mustang II front end and a four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. Plus, power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes deliver a terrific all-around driving package.
It took a lot of time, effort, and money to get an upgraded classic like this, and we have the build receipts to prove it. So if you love a mean-looking and powerful classic that's also quite comfortable, don't miss this deal. Call now!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
