Ford F-150 5.0 Liter V8 1989

General description : ORIGINAL EFI 5.0 V8, 4SPD AUTO, A/C, PWR STEER & BRAKE, ACTL MILE, CARED FOR!

This 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat is at an interesting crossroads. It's an exceptionally original pickup with a loaded interior and averaging only about 2,500 miles annually on its numbers-matching fuel-injected V8. But it's also a capable worker that has the extended range of dual fuel tanks. So, do you collect it or utilize capabilities? At this affordable price, we suggest doing both.
The two-tone blue and white is just how you remembered it because it still wears most of its same paint that came from the factory more than a quarter-century ago. And yes, it really does look this good in person as it does in the pictures. It takes very careful ownership to have a vehicle that was destined to be a used up during everyday working, and instead, it still can still shine up all these years later. The XLT Lariat trim package added a pleasing amount of brightwork to the truck, and even an extra pinstripe in the full-length body crease. All of it remains in very good condition, from the wheelwell moldings, to the shiny factory wheels, to the big chrome bumpers, to the brushed stainless steel tailgate insert. But it's the accessories that let you know this well-preserved pickup is still ready to work. After all, the long bed has a tough liner to keep up with your weekend chores, and the rear step bumper with trailer hitch extends this versatility.
Inside is Ford's upscale XLT Lariat interior, which features a comfortable blue cloth on the seats and woodgrained-style trim on the dash to give it a more luxurious feel. We believe the whole interior is regional, right down to the floor mats, and the minimal wear is just another sign that this pickup has been respected since day one. There's a fold-down center console so you can decide if you want to carry two friends or have a more individual level of comfort. Regardless of how many people are inside, this is quite a luxurious experience. Cruise control, tilt wheel, and the original AM/FM/cassette stereo are features you don't find on many vintage pickups today. And while the air conditioner is blowing modern R134a cold air, we know you also won't be able to resist sliding the rear window to get your breezes the old fashioned way.
The original 5.0-liter V8 is under the hood, and it's a great choice in the F-150. Averaging around 2,500 miles annually, this pickup has led a pampered life. And low mileage does not mean it missed out on servicing, and we have the maintenance records to prove it. The fuel-injected motor neatly straddles the line between power and economy. It's mated to a rugged four-speed automatic transmission with highway friendly overdrive. Plus, with power steering, new rear shocks, and front disc brakes, this is a comfortable cruiser. In fact, this F-150 is built to run the long haul thanks to the dual fuel tanks.
This is the perfect mix of rugged and comfort. All of this comes in a nicely preserved pickup that's price to move quickly. So you already know you're going to have to act fast to take this one home. Call now!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
