Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe 201 CI 4 Cylinder 1930

General description : Description
This 1930 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe turns back the clock and looks good doing it. After all, you get a sophisticated full color combo to go with a very authentic feeling rumble seat machine.
This coupe has an interesting color combo. It's more than just how the black fenders and rich brown body appear very 1930s-correct. The full package looks like four parts of a color spectrum. Start at black, it gets a little lighter at brown, the full tan pinstripe is a little lighter than that, and it eventually to progresses to the bright white wire wheels. So while palette might not be the first thing that comes to mind, it does explain how the whole package is so instantly pleasing to the eye. The other reason why this Ford is so attractive right from the first impression is because of all the details. The dual bumpers, fender-mounted horn, windshield overhang, vinyl roof cover, rear mounted spare tire, and step plates for the rumble seat - it's all part of a very correct and authentic presentation. So this one really knows how to turn back the clock to give you a handsome and jaunty coupe.
Inside is the classic and simple Model A layout. You get the large four-spoke steering wheel, floor shifter, and the flat dash with the bright housing for the ignition, amps, and odometer. There was also the addition of an engine temp gauge, which is quite handy. The atmosphere feels quite authentic, right down to the working accessories. This includes the horn, wipers, windows, and turn signals. The seat has a plush pattern and the classic broadcloth feel. And the side and rear panels are done to match. Of course, the most important seat is really outside. The rumble seat in the back looks quite good with a more recent re-cover in a durable vinyl. It's the kind of feature everyone loves to see, and it will likely get you invited to a few parades.
Ford's 201 cubic-inch motor looks quite authentic under the hood with the clean green block, spark plugs boldly on top, large fan, and correct carb. The only time you really see more modern pieces are just the right maintenance items that keep this a strong-running classic even as this enters its last decade before hitting the century-old mark. With a good idle, effective brakes, and crisp shifts of the three-speed transmission, this one has a feeling of quality you want in a driver's car.
We all love a good rumble seat coupe, and this one really feels like it gets the classic formula right. So don't let something this special slip away. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
