Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this super nice Kewanee Green 1930 Ford Model A for sale. When the Model A was introduced, it likely seemed impossible for Henry Ford to follow up the commercial success of the Model T. However, he would immediately hit another home run with the Model A. While the Model T was produced for the explicit purpose of making the motorcar accessible to everyone, the Model A would be Ford's attempt at combining mass production with exclusivity. The Model A was a hit with the public: the marriage of aesthetics and mass production has seemed to work for both Ford and its customers, as one million examples would be built by February of 1929. By July 1930, just a few months later, production would top two million. Ultimately, by the time the Model A was replaced by the Model B and production ended in early 1932, nearly five million Model As would roll off the Ford assembly lines. This clean Model A is powered by a 200 CID inline 4-cylinder engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. The restoration plan for this 1930 Ford Model A included having the objective of making it a capable tourer (albeit "at Model A speeds"), and initial impressions indicate that it succeeded! This all-steel Model A didn't need much when it was being restored - just a few areas in the kick panels (in front of the front doors) had some rust in the metal, so they were cut out and replaced with fresh steel. The Kewanee Green paint looks good, the black fenders really add some contrasting "pop" to the package, and the chrome is bright and shiny. This Model A rolls on a set of original steel wire wheels that are painted black to coordinate with the fenders, and the blackwall bias ply tires provide that "vintage correct" correct look. The seating surfaces are covered in a nice two-toned brown fabric that feels both soft and durable at the same time and goes well with the brown headliner. This great '30 Ford Model A is one that you're bound to enjoy the attention it will get at shows, as well as having fun putting it in your neighborhood car parades. This 1930 Ford Model A comes complete with Bias Ply Touring Tires, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, Spare Tire and Jack, and Wire Wheels. About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
