Ford Mustang 351 Windsor V8 1970

General description : Up for sale we have a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This car has had a Rotisserie Restoration. It was built by a Ford Dealer in 2004 and comes with a Marti Report along with receipts and pictures from the build. When restored the body was take to bare metal and installed new quarter panels and door skins to ensure that there was no rust. The body is covered in the correct Lime Metallic Paint that is accented by the Correct White Stripe on the Hood and on the real sail panel. This Mustang had new bumpers as well as other new chrome replaced at the time of the resto. When the glass was reinstalled, new seals were used. This Mach 1 has the dual sport mirror, front spoiler, and factory hood. When you look closely at the paint work on this car it's better than when new. All the jams, inside the trunk are painted as they should be. The final exterior touch is the set of factory wheels with the stock hub caps.
On the inside it follows suite with exterior being fully redone with great detail. It too is done in the factory correct color scheme with the medium green knit and vinyl. It retains the correct seats and console with the right shifter. This Mach 1 has the wood grain in the console, door panels, and on the dash. It also has the factory AM Radio and Wood Wheel.
Under the hood it all looks correct with the 351 Windsor. The engine is mated to the 4 Speed Manual Trans and the 9” Ford Rear End that a 3.00 Gear. This car has Power Steering along with four wheel drum brakes. The engine bay has the painted black inner fenders and the body color firewall and under the hood. The floors in this Mustang were replaced and they did a nice job. They are painted body color with the front frame and rear sub frame being painted black. New fuel lines and tank were installed along with all new brake lines.

Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
