Ford Mustang 5.0 Liter V8 1988

General description : NICE FOXBODY 5.0 LX, CLEAN CARFAX, PRO RESPRAY, AUTO, COLD AC, WELL MAINTAINED

The 5.0 already has a legendary reputation, and now it's beginning to become a valued classic. That's why it's important to take a closer look at such a well-optioned one like this 1988 Ford Mustang LX coupe.
You're looking at a factory 5.0 Mustang. That shade of code-7N, Dark Shadow Blue, is one that was not often seen on 1980s pony cars, but it was a great choice because it gives this coupe a look that holds up in modern times. It looks especially nice because this paintwork was professionally redone a few years ago. But this car goes well beyond just the right color, because everything radiates the personality of a respected classic. From the clean headlights to the now-iconic five-spoke factory alloys, this is exactly how you want this emerging class of new classics to look.
Blue cars with complementing shades of blue on the inside are usually reserved for elegant vehicles from European automakers, but it looks perfect on this all-American, too. All the essentials retain tier stock appearance, including the dual spoke steering wheel that gives you a clear view of the original speedo and tach. But you'll also notice some quality upgrades for modern enjoyment, such as the AM/FM/CD stereo. And the air conditioning has been converted to modern R-134a to make staying cool easy for years to come.
The 5.0-liter electronic fuel-injected V8 under the hood is the reason the Mustang was the pony car of choice for an entire generation. Reliable performance, impressive torque, and an aftermarket that could transform it into anything your wallet could afford. We believe this is the original motor, which makes it the perfect unmolested canvas. In fact, it already has a terrific sound thanks to an upgraded dual exhaust. There's plenty of evidence of careful maintenance over the years, including a new alternator, battery, and compressor. This is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. This provides a fine balance between a performance car and a highway cruiser. In fact, this one is ready for enjoy any type of road trip thanks to power steering, front disc brakes, and cruise control.
A great-look 5.0 Mustang is a fine way to enter the new class of classic cars. Especially on an example like this that has been given the right investments along the way. So when it's all offered at a value price, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
