Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5.0L HO V8 1990

General description : Description
This 1990 Ford Mustang GT convertible has been given plenty of recent investments. So while you're admiring the ultra-slick red paint, don't forget to check put the upgraded suspension components that make this fuel-injected V8 drop-top an extra-capable street machine.
You're looking at a factory 5.0 Mustang GT convertible all dressed in red. A quality respray of the factory color means this one really knows how to enjoy the sunshine. The GTs from this era are particularly desirable because it comes with a host of cool upgrades like the full bodykit, fog lights, luggage rack, and slotted appearance taillights. While the wheels have a hit of a factory look, keen eyes will recognize that they are from a later generation Mustang. This can accept the 16-inch alloy upgrade because this has had the desirable five-lug conversion for the wheels. It's part of a larger investment in this car's performance.
The black convertible top is a great-looking color against the red paint, and with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal the black leather interior. So you have an attractive color combo no matter if the top is on or off. This loaded with features, including power windows, power locks, cruise control, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input to plug in your phone. The air conditioning has even been upgraded to R134a (will likely need a recharge to blow ideally cold.) Not only do you have an airbag in the leather-wrapped steering wheel, but also it's on a tilt column so you can get a clear view to the upgraded white-faced gauges.
The 5.0-liter is heart that made the Fox-body Mustangs a true legend. These fuel-injected V8s are a favorite because they mix overbuilt performance with serious power right out of the box. The consignor believes this is to be the original motor, and it has been given a few nice upgrades, like the BBK air intake. As you look over the whole car, including the undercarriage, you're going to see more great investments. The consignor says he invested about $10k in this car over the last year. It includes beefing up the rear end with new coil springs, trailing arms, caster cambers, and sway bar. This was also given four-wheel power disc brakes. And the 3.73 limited-slip rear end is great for all-around driving. In fact, with power steering and a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, this is a car you can enjoy on the highway or back roads.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the cool convertible with the right colors, the right V8 power, and the right upgrades. So since it's also priced right, you know you don't want to miss this deal. Call now!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
