Ford Mustang Convertible 427 V8 1969

General description : Here's a 1969 Ford Mustang convertible that has big block power and some great Shelby touches to make a speedy and attractive vintage pony car package.
When someone invests real money to build his/her ideal car we really like to see that they've had some fun. Now's your opportunity to share an enthusiast's well-built dream. It starts with the Silver Jade Green paint, which is one of the iconic late '60s colors. Of course it's easy to love thanks to the luster that a professional application and modern paint formulas. A project of passion also means newer features like replaced bumpers and vinyl roof. The '69 Mustang takes the original pony car's good looks, and elongates the bodylines for a distinctive aggressive appearance. This is enhanced by the sporty features such as the front chin spoiler, hood pins, hood scoop, and GT-style black side stripes. But those are all pieces you could have on a Mustang from the factory. This one goes further with some interesting features such as the quad tailpipes, and the forward-leaning stance that comes from the staggered tire sizes on the 15-inch American Racing wheels.
The Ford designers really excelled with the interior, combining a racy feel with grand touring comfort in a way that has defied the decades. This mustang now has new Procar vinyl bucket seats that still match the interior but not have a more modern feel. (the original high-back vinyl bucket seats comes with the sale if desired). A newer center console also makes life much easier, especially with the welcomed cup holders. The dark interior is brightened up with wood paneling on the dash, doors, and a brand new three-spoke steering wheel (the original steering wheel will come with the sale if desired). The dual cowl dashboard combined with the deeply sloped center section gives the driver a real sporting feel and houses useful items like the heater/defrost controls and an AM/FM cassette radio. While the black power folding roof looks great, you'll want to keep it down as often as possible so that everyone sees the brand new Shelby-style roll bar. And if you want to keep the top down longer into the summer season, this car has factory AC that is blowing cold!
You didn't have to be a Boss to get a big block in '69, and so this Mustang was upgraded to a 390 cubic-inch V8 just like the S-code cars had available. However the consignor is claiming that it is 390 block that is now bored/stroked closer to a 427! It fills the engine bay with the monster motor. Plus, it looks nice at shows with the new aluminum Edelbrock heads & intake, holley 4 barrel carb, fresh belts, hoses, and a few Ford Racing chrome bits on that big blue block. Turn the key, and you'll immediately know the difference a big block makes under the hood. The dual exhaust has an extra roar of authority even at idle, which really complements all of the performance accessories on the exterior. While all of this sounds like a recipe for a big brute, this one handles nicely going down the road with features like power steering, power brakes, three-speed automatic transmission, and modern BF Goodrich T/A tires.
This is a unique build created by a Mustang enthusiast looking for a new enthusiast to take it home. Big block power, bold features, and even the owner's manual and maintenance records means this one won't have trouble galloping into a new garage soon. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
